Kacy Frimmel, PE
Project Engineer, Civil/Structural (Tallahassee, FL)
Kacy Frimmel is a licensed Professional Engineer with over 17 years of experience in structural design. She specializes in residential construction, including structures in high-wind-speed regions and flood zones. She is experienced in the analysis, design, and construction of a variety of materials including timber, masonry, concrete, and steel. Her recent experience includes the analysis and design of buildings regarding lateral wind loads, gravity loads, wave force, and uplift wind forces.
Fun Fact: To me, the most rewarding aspect of design work is getting to see the finished product! I would assume the most rewarding aspect of forensics work will be the satisfaction of knowing that I presented the client with thorough answers to their questions and concerns.
Jake Harvey, P.Eng, CFEI, CVFI, IAAI-FIT
Fire Investigator, Fire & Explosion (Toronto, ON)
Jake Harvey is a Professional Engineer, specialized in fire and explosion investigations, with an impressive record of over 200 investigations in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Jake brings a wealth of expertise, holding certifications as a Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator (CFEI) and Certified Vehicle Fire Investigator (CVFI). In his role, he follows NFPA 921 and NFPA 1033 standards, preparing technical reports and expert opinions on fire origins and causes. Jake’s professional experience spans fire investigations, mechanical failure analyses, and project management, all conducted with meticulous adherence to legal and industry standards.
Fun Fact: As a child, I always wanted to be a Movie Director.
Anthony Ragone, PE
Senior Project Engineer, Civil/Structural (Miami, FL)
Anthony Ragone is a licensed Professional Engineer with more than 17 years of engineering experience leading structural design projects and consulting with clients to deliver forensic damage assessments for expert testimony. Anthony’s forensic work includes cause, source, and damage assessment investigations and reports for wind, flood, earthquake, hail, and impact to building and roofing systems delivered to clients for plaintiff and defense litigation cases. His design experience includes designing and drawing plans for reinforced concrete and precast structural marine construction projects, as well as piping systems and underground tanks for petroleum fueling stations. He previously worked as a software engineer, testing and developing roof truss design software.
Fun Fact: I have been doing CrossFit competitively and recreationally for more than 10 years and can handstand walk as long as I want to.
